Charles R. Horgan graduated Helena High School class of 1999, the same year as famed vampire slayer Buffy Summers.
He is the first Montanan to receive a Purple Heart for invading Iraq and sadly, he wasn’t the last.
Charles's detailed illustrative works are full of obscure references to 80s media, as well as including some easter eggs for the history buffs among us.
Charles is now a Fellow Worker in good standing here in Helena.
“The need to monetize our passions in order to justify doing them killed my creative spirit slowly over decades. Only after fully embracing the things that I personally felt funny, and layering them under obscure or confused references could I learn to love creating again. It has become an important aspect of my recovery, and explaining to someone who Billy Barty was, and why Gwildor exists when Orko was already a thing, or why Robocop is now an actor, is almost as fun as drawing the image.” ~CRH
